Aust stocks open mixed with gold up, media down
Australian shares have opened mixed, with the rising gold sector battling big falls
in key media stocks.
At 1016 (AEDT) the benchmark all ordinaries index was up 1.3 points to 3116.4, while
the all industrials index fell 10 points to 5431.9.
The all resources index was up 16.2 points at 1285.2, pulled up by a surging gold sector.
