VIC:Prosecutors call for life for Freeman
Prosecutors have called for life with no parole for ARTHUR FREEMAN .. the man who threw
his four-year-old daughter DARCEY off the West Gate Bridge.
In a pre-sentence hearing today .. Chief Crown Prosecutor GAVIN SILBERT .. SC .. said
FREEMAN had committed a significant example of the worst crime.
But FREEMAN'S barrister said he didn't concede life imprisonment was the only available
sentence for the father of three.
As today's hearing at the Victorian Supreme Court drew to a close .. FREEMAN indicated
he wished to dismiss his defence team and make a statement on his own behalf.
The court has been adjourned while FREEMAN has discussions with his lawyers.
