CYCLE:Davis retains lead
KATOWICE, Aug 3 AFP - Australian Allan Davis, riding for Astana, finished third to
retain the race leader's yellow jersey after the third stage of the Tour of Poland on
Tuesday.
Belarusian Yauheni Hutarovich pipped Argentina's Lucas Sebastian Haedo to victory after
a furious bunch sprint as Davis came in third.
FDJ rider Hutarovich emerged from a cluster of back wheels on the home straight of
the 122km stage to beat Saxo Bank's Haedo, the younger brother of Juan Jose, by a wheel
rim.
Davis now holds a four-second lead on Hutarovich, with Spaniard Aitor Galdos Alonso
(Euskaltel) in third place at 8sec.
