FED:Aust adopts more sanctions on Iran
Australia is imposing extra sanctions on Iran amid mounting global concerns about its
nuclear and missile programs.
Foreign Minister KEVIN RUDD says the sanctions are in response to Iran's continuing
non-compliance with United Nations Security Council resolutions on its nuclear program.
He says the new measures follow the attacks on the British Embassy in Tehran on November
29 as well as the recent International Atomic Energy Agency report which einforces concerns
about Iran's nuclear activities.
